Senior Technical Specialist

In this role you will design, develop, modernize, and support enterprise-scale mainframe applications, leveraging IBM mainframe technologies. You will lead architecture decisions and modernization initiatives within mission-critical environments in BFSI and related sectors. You’ll drive production stability, deliver across large-scale ecosystems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical outcomes with business goals. A strong focus on cloud enablement, API integration, and governance contributes to delivering scalable, secure solutions.

• Lead end-to-end design and architecture of Mainframe solutions
• Define technical roadmaps and modernization strategies for legacy applications
• Provide guidance to development, support, and testing teams
• Perform technical reviews and ensure adherence to enterprise standards
• Design, develop, and maintain complex Mainframe applications
• Lead enhancement and migration initiatives
• Review and optimize existing code for performance and scalability
• Ensure high-quality deliverables through design reviews and code inspections
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
• Support critical production environments with high availability requirements
• Lead performance tuning and capacity planning activities
• Ensure compliance with operational SLAs and governance requirements
• Work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and delivery teams
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions
• Present architecture and solution recommendations to senior leadership
• Drive cloud enablement and API integration initiatives
• Support legacy transformation programs
• Evaluate modernization tools and technologies
• Define migration strategies for business-critical applications
• Ensure adherence to security, audit, and regulatory standards
• Establish development and operational best practices
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge repositories
